How long are you planning to own your E63S

it’s unfortunate that i have to give this up as there have been many expensive repairs i had endured this past 1 yr or so … in the end, this wagon i truly loved to drive from day 1 onwards. It’s just sad that the next gen is a no go as it is no longer a v8.
repairs i had done after expiration of warranty.
- air suspension
- electronic issues
- ignition coils 2x
- rms
- cv shafts

I plan to keep it for at least 7 or 8 years, if not longer. I'll re-evaluate regularly but I intend to keep it longer than any other car I've ever owned.
I suspect the resale value will be half decent even then but that's not one of my motivations, just a nice side effect when it comes time.

I've tried out some other vehicles as a potential replacement and nothing even comes close. 😀
It still drives and looks like new and it has every option (except the CF engine cover) that was configurable. My only warranty repair has been a windshield washer container that developed a crack.

The biggest challenge in getting rid of it is the lack of an alternative. I’ve always driven coupes, so I’d likely to go back to owning a coupe for fun/DD and buy a midsize suv for family duties since this car by itself can do both of those jobs without equal. An RS6 is an option, but I know those have their own reliability concerns. Everything P car related is probably too expensive for me at this juncture.

Would even consider a 2026 Peterbuilt Diesel Big Rig Truck as a DD if keep NM primary residence. If wife relocates to the DC area to finish out her USDA career will sell the ICE and might consider an EV motorcycle or $1600 electric Bicycle.
Washed E63s Wagon yesterday morning and attended a Car Show at local Kia Dealership. Did not enter show as Contestant because it would not be fair so parked off on the sidelines next to NM Trooper in Explorer without the Ecoboost engine. On the way out from show cruised past all the contestants. When got near the Mopar contingent had to come to a complete stop to avoid a Rabid Scat Pack Cougar who wanted a ride as she fell to her knees. Just gave her a few pops and crackles for her enthusiasm... the best lady on the lot was NM Trooper who resembled Gal Gadot and will soon transfer to Recruitment Duty with her Hot Babe Abs Poster good looks and Tactical Bearing. Drove back home and watched Mercedes take 2-3 Podium Finish at Spanish F1 GP on DVR.
AMG wagon might be a keeper past Warranty?

Sorry, I just can't get myself to even consider a Tesla vehicle. There are currently about 30 in my current development ranging from S, X , and 3 and none of them turn my head when they go down the street. How do you spell boring? I do like the styling of the Audi E-Tron Q8 SUV but not enough to change.
Fell free to call me in the future if you feel tempted to move toward the dark side.

Ivan MacKenzie.
Not a fan of the direction AMG is headed with the PHEV-6.
As an owner of Buick GNs, sleeper cars are my style. I’ve owned the w211,w212, and 213 - 63 AMGs, with a C63 mixed in along the way. To me the E63 has always been ultimate fire breathing sleeper.
Call me nostalgic, but the E63 will never have the same emotional appeal to me, sans V8.
I hate to think the next sleeper might need to be an M5.
