2019 E63 rough idle
At 149,000 miles
I was driving normally and then, ca-thunk. MIL came on and no power. Had to feather it but it was horrible.
Limped home.
No downshift
Does not rev passed 3000 rpm.
stalled numerous times.
interesting enough, just had the plugs changed less than 1000 miles prior.
Keep this thread posted on findings...
So intresting notes.
The dealer ship can see the error but also noted that the ECU reported 3% gas left when there was more than 3/4 full. So that is intresting.
So far they have not found anything and not been able to replicate. I drove the car there and it was running fine.
I think it has to do with the cylinder deactivation that engaged (it does not take much to engage) and then disengaged (ie went from 8 => 4 => to 8 in less than 1 second causing that thunk).
More than likely i will just keep an eye on it.

I have been driving it fairly aggressive and no issues.
Opinion: I think the issue started when the car went from 8 cylinder mode to 4 cylinder mode and "something" happened and then it never got out of 4 cylinder mode leading to the low power and sputter condition.
Hopefully like posted above, the issue wont come back until 300,000+ miles
Ok after all that hoopla, the car has been running golden once again. About to trip 150,000...
With that said, I think (just a guess but due to the problem seen on Xentry) that the issue stems from the Vented AMG "silver" cap. I have since re-installed the OEM black fuel cap that came with the car just incase.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
As i said, no clue if this is the culprit BUT it wont help as most European cars do actually monitor the pressure in the fuel tank hence why most will kick MIL when the gas cap is left off.
