What’s everyone’s favorite drive mode?
Typically I drive my car in comfort with the valves “open” and everyone once in a while I’ll put it in sport mode. I drive in comfort because my commute at times can be brutal in terms of traffic and I find the other modes a bit too herky jerky in stop and go driving. What does everyone else prefer? I’m specifically curious about those folks who drive in sport + mode. How much worse is it with gas when driving in that set up? Any concern for additional wear and tear?

More or less these are my modes across the AMG models.
- Normal driving around town, traffic and long distance highway cruising: Comfort + open valves, on long cruises I close the valves.
- Everyday highway and/or open road driving: Individual mode with everything set to the S+ settings, except suspension in Sport and transmission in M
- For a bit more fun, ESP in Sport Handling mode
- Canyons and track: RACE, transmission in M, ESP in Sport Handling or OFF w/ the 9-Stage TC around 7 (FL C63S, GT R and above only obviously)

What I love about our E63s beast is it has triple personalities from a flick of a switch. I use all the different modes depending on the driving dynamic. But I must say I use Sport mode more compared to other modes. But I just wished the sport mode would pop and gurgle like Sport + or Racing mode as I feel that is missing. I guess a simple downpipes would solve that problem so definitely need to look into that soon.

Only two modes the entire time I have had the car.
Sport mode everything with valves opened and traction control set to sport - daily
Race mode everything with traction control completely off - Fun, destress after work and every chance on weekends

Comfort most of the time as I usually drive the car normally for commuting and stuff, however sport+ to have fun. Race sucks because it seems to never shift except all the way up and I’d rather not be screaming at 6000rpm before it shifts when not being floored.
My custom setting consists of comfort suspension, valves open, and sport engine/trans.
