E63s (fully optioned, but not FE) just arrived...sell '19 C63s and upgrade?
What the title says. I have a pearl/metallic 2019 C63s, carbon/night, racing seats and carbon steering wheel, pretty well optioned, bone stock, about 16k miles in excellent (near mint) condition. I ordered an E63s in July 2021 and it was finally built now as a '23 E63s, fully optioned in graphite gray with carbon/night/cermic/etc. No racing seats or carbon steering wheel, but otherwise same or upgrade from the C. I love the C, including/especially the feel of the racing seats and the carbon steering wheel. Curious what folks think about upgrading to the E (and perhaps in this forum as opposed to the w205 forum I know what I'm going to hear!). Dealer is offering about $50k for the C (I could probably do better selling it myself, but that takes some leg work), and they're selling the E at MSRP, which is about $136k as optioned. Would very much appreciate everyone's thoughts. Thanks!

Does the new E have the Burmester 3D?
I think they're ripping you off for your C63 personally, you can get $10k more private EASILY.

Totally worth it to pick up the E, it's the last of the great V8's. I absolutely love mine.You may miss the seats, it's unfortunate Mercedes decided Americans were too fat for them. I hear the massage seats are great but they don't have the look.

I'm not sure it has the massage seats. The ventilated racing seats on the c63 are perfect for my skinny ***. Helps me stand on the brake in the track too. Ive never had ceramic brakes before either.

If you don't take the car, I'm sure many folks on this forum would like to do it. Agreed they are trying to rip you off on the C63s, my 2015 C63s @ 43000 miles are offered near $40k by local dealers.

I had an ED 1 ‘15 C63S I just traded in for my ED 1 E63S and got $40k for it. Mine had 51k on the clock.

Ensure you like the heft and handling of the E63 relative to your car and, if so, do it but squeeze dealer for another $5k for your trade.

Don't give the stealership your c63 for 50k I'd tell them to f"" off.. A 2019 with only 16k in mint condition?? If you were trying to offload the c63 I would go thru the process of selling it yourself, you could probably get atleast 65-70k for it no questions asked. I hate giving the dealer more of my money for free

You could submit it to cars and bids or bring a trailer with a reserve price and see if they'd accept it, Cars and bids doesn't charge anything to list your car, Bring a trailer will charge $100 after you agree to submit it if you're using your own photos, if you want them to send a photographer to take photos of your car it's $250 I believe. In my opinion cars on Bring a Trailer sell for more than cars & bids, I think BAT gets alot more viewers.

It's decision time here folks. Dealer wants to offer $50k for my car. I'm sure I could get $60k easily on BAT or similar, but that's a hassle to be honest. Letting the dealer have it for $50k saves me $4k+ on the taxes, so I'd make maybe $5k if I sell it myself for at least $60k. If I could get $65k or more that goes up, obviously. I'd personally not blow the additional money on such a highly depreciating car when you already have the almost identical version. Only do it if you like the new spec significantly more and you can easily afford the trade. Of course, your final decision is 100% subjective and little to do with money.

I was lazy and didn't read title and thought you had E63. A little more justified but still a subjective and emotional decision with little to do with money. If you really want it and can easily afford it, then do it. If not, then don't do it.
