Paking Assist Issue

I am often getting a message when I turn on the ignition about parking assist and parktronic not working (please see pic).
Anyone have this issue or know why? Before the message comes on, the sensors make noise showing red around the car in the display.
It doesn't happen all the time but often enough.

One or more of the sensors is bad or needa to be recalibrated.

Or possibly there is some dirt covering one or more. Sometimes it just needs a washing to clear a sensor.

Well I don't know about that but I do know I'm getting really good at parallel parking myself, since the parking assist arrow/checkmark/whatever engages ZERO times for me for the past few months.
I haven't looked into it further too busy
I hope you solve your sensor issue; mine won't engage anymore.
Oh well at least I won't forget how to park

I got training on the use of it at the factory in Sindelfingen and used the feature a lot while on vacation in Germany.

But after coming back to the states haven't had many opportunities to use it, but when I've tried it has still worked most of the time for parallel parking, but not always.

My garage/workshop has ~20 parking spaces outside as the previous owner had run a welding business out of there. Have toyed with the idea of setting up some of my other cars in a parallel park configuration just to practice and test the feature so I'll be 100%. I always find something else that needs doing, but maybe one day

Ok so here is an update on this issue. When I start the car if I do not wait a few seconds before putting it into drive then I get the issue but if I just wait a few seconds then the problem does not occur. So it seems I was just putting the car into drive too fast for it to load all its software or calibrate its sensors I guess? Not sure but the issue is resolved as far as I'm concerned.

Hmmm, it does indeed sound like the system is still booting, like for example booting windows.

When you go into the cameras after you have let it 'boot up' is the blue line all the way around the image of the car? If not, then its still faulty, just not giving you the error message. I had this not long ago and one parking sensor in the rear needed changing.

I checked and it is blue all around the car and all sensors work well.
