2018 E63S AMG
My point was not to disagree that a plus sized American won't have difficulty getting into a performance seat - that's a given.
My point was that not everyone who is going to drive or ride in an E63s is young and as flexible as they used to be. My original point was that not everyone views the Performance seats as an upgrade so the thread was somewhat mis-titled. At 59 or 60 or whatever I was at the time when I did my AMG Academy class at Laguna Seca, I was the 2nd youngest person in my group. One of the guys was 78 I think.
At 85 my mother and my 82 year old in-laws each can get into my multicontour seats OK. They not over weight and all are reasonably active and flexible for their ages but getting into a performance seat would not be a piece of cake for them. I know this because my mother just sold her Nissan 370 z Nismo because as much as she liked the car, getting into and out of it was getting to be a pain. She bought the car because she liked the looks of it and it reminded her of her 1973 corvette with 454 4-speed transmission. Ordered and bought new from the dealer for $7300. I remember when it came in and I got to be the one to ride home in it with her from the dealership.

I would probably suggest that an AMG is not exactly the best choice to drive one's octogenarian parents around in the first place.

Much nicer interior than a standard E class, way better than a Tesla and many other sedans of similar size.
Ride is a little firmer than they might like but other than that it’s like any other car if driven normally.
To be honest it’s not as comfortable for them as the minivan or my F-250 but they do enjoy getting a ride in something more classy now and then, and both my mom and in-laws do like it when I goose it a bit now and then.

Young at heart! I will say this. Most complaints about the performance seats come from folks who have never actually lived with them and have simply formed a perception. I'm not saying they are for everyone, but I drove my septuagenarian parents around during my European Delivery in my C63S coupe with performance seat. My dad climbed in the back and my mom sat in the front. She's overweight and was never athletic her entire life. She did say it wouldn't be something for her every day, but she kept wanting to ride in my car the entire time...haha.

I've never sat in a MB performance seat and my E63S has the comfort seats. My C7 has performance seats and they're way better than the MB comfort seats. Better support, more comfortable, and stay comfortable for long trips. The E63S comfort seats have my as$ aching to the point I have to stop after a couple hours. I'm 185, and in pretty good shape for 70. My wife has the same experience with both vehicles.

I went to MBHouse in Toronto yesterday, they said they can do it but it'd be better for me to source them myself (I saw some online for 5K for the pair). They'd take care coding/programming. Look forward to doing this most likely by the end of the year. I'll keep everyone posted and to sell my current seats lol

Don't know what to tell you. I'm 5'11" 180lbs with the seats at their lowest position in a coupe that's lower than the W213 to begin with and I'm getting in and out fine. I'm guessing your height has something to do with it, but that's not the seats fault.

So I got an even worse headache in the form of a 2023 M8 comp coupe with carbon seats (yeah those suck worse due to the exaggerated thigh bolsters, great seats when you are in them though)
But you may be right about height, I do have very long legs

So at the end of the day, OPs car is magno black with ED1 side decal, but no CCB and no performance seat (standard on ED1 from factory), which tells us, that magno black is probably a wrap and side decal is not original from factory.
