passenger wiper blade stopped working

passenger wiper blade stopped working
Was driving today with wipers on level one (sensor wipe), and in mid-wipe, the passenger blade stopped. I was able to manually move it down to the resting position, but now it won't move at all. The driver side works fine. Any experience or thoughts?

If you look at the blowup diagram in the link I posted, #140 is the passenger arm. It's supported by two links which bolt to posts. But it's more likely that the plastic gear inside the main system (#10) has stripped.

Cool, thanks. And I assume there’s no way to order just the part that’s broken. The whole $350 assembly is the only way?

It is a (relatively) common problem and had the same issue on family member's C238 E 450. It turned out to be a loose bolt, this bolt holds the driver and passenger side together. How it works is that the driver side one pulls the passenger side up instead of two seperate motors.

Is this a standard metric bolt that can be purchased at a hardware store? If so, do you know the size?

I forgot what is the size and I don't have a vehicle with me to check, make sure the bolt is broken first, for our situation it was simply loose, but that was back in 2020, it never had issue since. Just buy a set of wrenches and start tightening it when you find one that fits, I forgot what torque value we used.
