I see, if it generates sales that help fund other models, it might be worth it.

Strange, did you figure out why they don't offer the option anymore? I like to debadge my cars as well, it looks much cleaner. I can see people think those who debadge bought the base model and want to look more expensive they are, but I just prefer the cleaner look, I do the same debadge on my family members' s-Classes.

Some of my badges are subdued. I would love that option for all the badges, over completely removing them.
I like the subtle look, where, if you weren’t familiar with the car, you might not even notice the subdued cues.

So you don't mind having a badge if it is completely darken out? Like night package 2?

I prefer badges like the night package, over the bright chrome and shiny finish, yes, for my car anyway.
But I can appreciate the stock badging on restoration cars, restomods, patina restorations, and custom classics.
I think the type of work guys like Chip Foose does is fabulous, although I have never really obsessed over having any of them myself.

For restored cars, I definitely want them to look like they did from the factory which for NA cars, usually means a badge.

I spend a lot of time in Germany and 95% of cars don't have badges. I think badge delete is standard there and you have to option in the badges. I just like how clean all the cars look and how you have to guess or look for subtle clues to determine exactly where it falls in the line.

I also like having a sleeper. I want my car to be more than it looks and never less than it looks. If that makes sense...

Strange, did you figure out why they don't offer the option anymore?
I have no idea... Maybe it just was so rare that someone would spec it that it was costing them money to support it or something...?
