Giving the Facelifted W213 E63 a More Aggressive Look
I think the facelifted w213 E63 looked pretty good when I first got it, but over time, I got that itch to make it look my own. I always hoped MB would create an E63 Black Series, until they do, I wanted to see if I could make the car look more aggressive and wider. Keeping in mind this was still a sedan at the end of the day, I didn't want to go too crazy. Recently added a front lip, side skirt extensions, and rear diffuser. Its actually quite difficult to find aftermarket parts for the facelifted E63, there seems to be plenty for the pre-facelift. Lots of time spent figuring out the right look and compromising. Fun fact, the rear diffuser is supposed to only fit a pre-facelift however, took a gamble and the cut outs just barely fit the new exhaust tips. I had the window rain guards from before which I think give the car more aggression from up top. I wish MB gave the E63 flared rear fenders as well. I debated doing something to this effect as well but realized its probably not worth it. This is most likely as far as I will take it modifying the exterior. Maybe making it sound louder to match the aggression is in my future.
Looks good. The AMG sedans were never the lookers. AMG never made a Black Series sedan. They were always coupes. Even the ones that started as a roadster were converted to coupes. The lack of fender flares, aggressive low stance and the general conservative, may I say boring look of sedans never quite did it for me. I'm a coupe guy and I believe proper sports/performance cars have 2 doors only with a low, wide stance. Practicality is for basic commuter cars.
Perhaps a set of custom forged wheels would give your ride a more personalized signature.... i see that many would opt for a typical AMG wheel design, but that is for the mainstream... few would go for the custom option to make theirs stand out from the crowd (some had their hits and misses of course).
Looks good, great mods, brings out the aggressive nature of an AMG in an otherwise family sedan. I am not sure about the rain guards (although obviously as long as you like them : ) as I think they are more commonly on economy cars, perhaps to prevent rain from entering the cabin when windows are opened when it is raining? Does it also decrease wind noise and prevent wind buffeting?

Those pics in comfort mode? It's sitting awfully high and I think with a lowering module you'd get something you're really happy with.
I too have the facelift in same color but I have never been a fan of the exterior bits and pieces currently offered. To me the front diffuser and side skirt extensions look a little too boy racer-ish.
I spent the last month or so adding OEM carbon parts to my car. OEM Carbon Fiber mirror caps, front lip, rocker panel trim, rear wing and rear bumper CF trim. It's probably as far as I'll take it on the outside but I agree, wish the rear was flared out. It would look a tons better.

I agree, a coupe will almost always look better. Best commuter car I have found yet.

I actually searched for a car with the stock black AMG rims, hard to replace them as I think they look great

That's actually where I got the idea, all the other cars around me on my commute. I use it more for looks, I think the black complements the car. I've opened the window a few times when it rains and its an ok feature. I haven't noticed any additional wind noise or anything out of the ordinary at any speed. This was my initial worry but nothing odd that I've noticed
OP your car looks awesome! I love to see W213s modified, and not just a bunch of old dudes asking if they should sell their car bc of RMS fear.
Appreciate it. Its hard to find any W213 E63 period, here in NJ, let alone a modified one. I tried looking for inspiration but figured I'd give it a shot myself and maybe it'll spark some ideas for someone else. Lol no leaking so far, 2 years ~34k miles.
PTG 1000, that must move pretty good. One day I have to see what a modified one feels like. Great to see what people are able to do with the platform. Can't imagine any more torque.....

Car was off so most likely it defaulted into comfort yes. I thought about it, usually stance doesn't bother me as much. There are some weird entrances to parking lots and just terrible roads where I live and any lower might not be worth it just for the stationary stance.
Yup I can see that. Its funny, from somewhat far away, it looks completely stock. Only when I'm 10 ft or so away, does everything come into view. For me this was it, I thought about canards but that's too far in the other direction. Having the carbon pieces is great, with the matte color and the carbon parts it'll look great.

It does fit pretty well actually I was just curious : ) Thanks OP, enjoy the car.

It's incredible, this platform has blown away my expectations. If you're ever near Chicago, dm me i'll let you drive it.
