Luke: Tires for 2004 CL55

I need to replace my tires soon. I would like to go with the PS2,s. The275/40/18 are exactly the diameter as my 050's. I would like to put the 255/40 on the front, but they .6" smaller. Is that too much difference for the stability control. If that doesn't work, what do you think of the P Zero Nero M&S for this car. The car is a daily driver, with some spirited. Snow is not an issue. Thanks

depends on the weather
that is enough of a diameter difference to cause issues with your traction control

As a sidebar, I just put 245/45-18 & 275/40-18 Pirelli PZero Neros M/S on my 2004 S500 and I am so far, very pleased.

the P-Zero Nero M&S would work fine in the 245/45, 275/40 sizes butare a significant down grade in wet and dry traction ... but, they do offer some light snow ability ..... for an all season tire they are one of my favorites

What tires would you recommend. Why are the P Zero Nero M&S at the top of the list for all-season tires. What about the Eagle F1 GS-D3, Pilot Sport A/S, or the S-03 Pole Position. This is a daily driver, with no snow. Thanks

for a car that does need any snow traction I would recommend a summer tire for the added wet and dry grip ..... for an exact tire recommendation we would really need to discuss what your driving habits are and what is most important to you in terms of your tires

Luke:Tires for 2004 CL

I have tried to narrow down what tires to go to. The car is an everyday driver. My wife drives it a good bit, so comfort and quiet are important. Handling is most important. The car is not really pushed to the limits. Since the PS-2's won't fit, what do think are the best choice. The S-03's and F1 GS-D3 are next on the list. Also is there any way to compare different catagories of tires against each other. Thanks for your help.

I am still trying to figure out what tires to get. I keep hearing so many good things about the PS2's. Trying to get a size that will work. The 275/40/18 seem perfect for the rear. Will going up to the 265/40/18 in front with a .3" dia. difference be okay? Would the 265/40 with the 255/40 be better? Thanks for the help.

275's should be OK but the car came with 245 fronts and 265 rears and remember the rear tire needs to be an extra load tire

Tires for 2004 CL55

Has anybody tried 255 or 265 wide tires on the front of a CL or S before?
