Question Pilot PS2's - directional or non-directional?

Does anyone know if Michelin Pilot PS2's are directional or non-directional. I was told by a local Discount Tire rep that they are non-directional and therefore okay to rotate side to side. However, upon looking at the tread pattern, they seem to be directional.

Also, is it better to rotate tires by taking them off the wheels and rearranging just the tires, or rotate the entire wheel & tire unit?

Listen to your tire rep. They can be rotated side to side as a single tire/wheel unit.

But if you place them on the other side, won't the slices bite into the road the wrong way?

LOL! Go to bed Ricky and get some real sleep!

Who say's they're are wrong? The right side of the tire in your picture has to be on the outside.

I don't have to sleep for another two hours or so

Okay...

Now, if you put it on the other side, the tires end up going this way

Pretend that last arrow is upside down.

You know what though, I'm going to go back to my Physics II homework, at least that doesn't confuse the hell out of me.

Yes, one side goes up and the other goes down.

So doesn't that mean the tires are directional?

Or does the tire preform with the same effectiveness with the tread working in the opposite direction?

yes and no. The difference in tread across the face is what is critical, not the direction of he slices in this particular case.

That's what I really meant, I didn't know a better way to put it, but the tread itself is slanted in one direction is it not? Therfore making it directional?

I totally believe you that it's directional, don't get me wrong. I just want to know why.

depends on the weather
they are asymetrical and are designed to rotate in either direction
