Amg Wheels @tirerack

Does anyone know if the AMG wheels at tire rack are the exact thing, or are they copies ?

At the MB dealer the new 19" 2 piece wheels are $2200.00 ea.

At Tirerack they are $1150.00.

Thanks... my car was delivered with a large gouge in the right front wheel, but I missed it. My concern at delivery was the butchered front bumper from the plate mount.(we had the car flatbedded from MD.) My dealer is already going to spring for a new bumper cover plus paint and labor, so I would rather split the Tirerack price than the dealer price for the new wheel. I feel bad that my dealer is eating this cost, but they do alot of dealer trades with this place in MD. and they don't want to burn that bridge by asking them to pay for the butcher job on the bumper. This thing has multiple holes drilled for each hole plus gouges where the bit didn't punture the first time.

I don't understand why these dealers drill these bumpers before the cars are sold.

I assume the transfer of the tire pressure sensor is fairly straight forward?

Again, thanks for your answer, and I will call them tomorrow.

Mine a clearly marked AMG, and I am sure they are not knock-offs.

TTR could not stay in business long if they are selling undocumented fakes! Your really should have posted this in TTR's forum. Luke will not look over here, and it is kind of unfair to post something like this where they cannot defend themselves.

I think you misunderstood the question. I never implied that they were fakes, I was mearly asking a question on a holiday when I couldn't call them.

I do a fair amount of business with them, so I know they are legit.

The website, however, doesn't clearly claim they are OEM. They do have the little trademark on the AMG name, but I wasn't sure.

Additionally, the price was so much less, it seemed suspect.

I appologize if I bumbed anyone out.
