Fastest way to waste rubber
Hey folks, since i'm getting my tires changed for my ML, i might as well change those on my CLK with S03's, but the problem is the tires (CLK's the garage queen) aren't worn out at all on the CLK...and my folks need a good reason for the replacements even though i'm paying for them myself...groan.
What's the fastest way to wear out tires in a few days without hurting the car? Lol, i know this sounds dumb.

do a powerbrake burnout. go to a deserted parking lot or road and put the 2 rear tires in a puddle of water(bleach works well too, plus it creates a really thick white smoke)then hold gas and brake till rears are spinning good. Oncd spinning release brake and drive staight until the car stops spinning. VOILA you just wasted a good bit of rubber. repeat until the desired effect has been achieved. If done correctly it should look like this...

Start with a basic question: what rubber do you currently have on the CLK? If the treadlife is good, just quietly swap 'em with the SO-3's you want, and then you can probably sell the old tires somewhere...you don't need to tell the parents.

oh jeez, don't get your panties in a twist, just tryin' to have some fun. I asked this question because i'm a newbie and i don't want to do anything stupid that would damage my car.

what's changing tires on ml got to do with anything on the clk?

or... how about this... if there is decent tire thread left... why don't u just list it on ebay and sell it cheap....
its better than wasting it... and that way, someone else can get some use out of the tires for a few months...
