Spacer Help

Looking for advice on wheels. I got a hold of a set of Brabus replicas, 19" setup with deep rim lip (front 2.5" and rear 3.5"). All four rims have 35mm offset. Because of the aggressive lip, I had a feeling the fronts might not fit on a 04.5 230SS. Sure enough, it wouldn't clear the front brakes, there's about an inch gap.

What are your recommendations? Is an inch worth of wheel spacer safe? Based on a visual without tires mounted, it looks like a pretty aggressive setup, probably flush with the fenders.

The rears seem to fit fine but in order to match the front, I'm assuming I would need to push out the rear as well. Should I go with the same size spacers as the front since they both have the same offset?

Car has not been lowered, not sure if I will yet.

Questions:
(1) Do I need a spacer equal to the gap? Possibly 1 inch or 25mm spacer?
(2) With tires, would this setup push tires outside of fenders?
(3) What would the correct lugnuts be for a 25mm setup?
(4) What is the best spacers to buy? Does H&R make 25mm or 30mm spacers?

Any other recommendations/advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm ready to take off the winter tires.

spacers

Hey man we have the same question but I have a regular '02 C240.. goodluck with your setup.

people might ask you what type and size of rims, tire size you'll put on and what would you use to lower your car, either springs or Coilovers.

19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et35, stock suspension on a 04.5 c230ss. Maybe it's that bearing plug that's causing it not to sit right. However, real question is a 1inch or 25mm spacer a safe bet?

Mercedes
I have a pair brand new 20mm spacers that I'm looking to sell. I used another pair on the rear of my CLK500 with 37mm offset 19x9.5 rims and they worked great. The spacers are aluminum, hubcentric, cnc machined. Looking for $70 shipped priority mail. PM me if interested.

Also, even if you don't get the spacers from me, I wouldn't go with anything larger than 20mm, I think that's the perfect fit. 25mm or 1 inch will have your tires rubbing like crazy.

Sent you a PM. I'll need to get exact measures, if beyond 20mm, I may need to find another setup.

my personal opinion: to have anything more than the slimmist spacers indicates that the wheel selection is poor. the thicker the spacer, the more likely the potential for suspension, balance, or vibration issues. you may also need to consider longer bolts to ensure that the margin of safety is maintained.

yeah u cant space that wheel out anymore, its almost flush with the fender as is without a spacer, i have the deep dish version also on my clk. You can either keep the rear deep lips and just get a front set of the regluar version or just get a different set of rims, its not gonna work with those brakes because of the way the spokes curl inwards. ( to make the big lip)

Thanks for the advice guys, I think you are all right. It's not worth the sacrifice for the deep dish look. These were the rims I was referring to...

i just saw Brabus VI replicas w/o the rivets and I thought they looked nice.the
blades are thinner and might go well with your lighter car (vs my E320). the
brand was Privat and model was Reserv (Koenig parent company). Les Schwab
is suppose to deal these but when I called they hmmm and hawed so I moved
on. I like lip also and hated my OEM rims, but it would take me longer to save
up for the rims I really want and that'll end up costing me about $9-1000 per.
So I settled for E55 split spokes for now.

I like lip and I like polished
