On Tire rack, it doesn't give me the option for the wider rear. I want to get these wheels but not without the stagger setup. Please help!

when I look it up I see
17X7.5 5-112 MBZ ET37 AMG5171
17X8.5 5-112 MBZ ET30 AMG5171
which is obviously a staggered setup ....
give me a call if you need to get them

Sorry I forgot to mention I was interested in the 18. The upgrade garage only offer 18 x 7.5 for my car, will the 18 x 8.5 fit on the rear? People in c-class forum section are saying yes but I would like an official word from the dealer, thanks.

yeah - you don't want to trust the people in the C-class section who give you advise based on personal experience...what do they know - right?Originally Posted by driftboy

greetingz,
Actually I'm more curious about why the upgrade garage in Tire rack doesn't offer the wider rear as an option for my car, I thought they would know more on these subjects than anyone

well, until we get one in here to verify all of the clearance requirements our website will opnly show very conservative applications ..... expect that to change soon ... in the mean time almost every wheel combo available for the 170 will work on the non-AMG 171

The AMG fitments for the R171 SLK-Class should fit fine with your `06 W203 C-Class. The Lorinser fitments are more aggressive than the factory AMG wheel specs and they fit with TUV approval. The Lorinser fitment specs for 18" staggered on the W203 are:
8.5x18 ET31 (225/40R18) Front
9.5x18 ET31 (255/35R18) Rear
Best bet if you want to be absolutely certain is to stop by your local Mercedes-Benz dealership.

...and those people probably don't know either - so the very best bet would be to ask people who already drive around with that actuall setup but apparently he does not want to believe what those people say anyways...Originally Posted by Ken Uyeda

as posted before in the 203 section: my S203 C270CDI (which has been seriously lowered) with THOSE SPECIFIC rims AND 255/35-18s does NOT rub - NOT even at full load (but I only used this setup for 10.000 miles up to now)
Sunman (with a W203 C320 and the exact same rims/tiresize) has NO rubbing issues EITHER
