I have just tried fitting some wheels to my C Class I have found out that the new wheels must have come from a later model and have a 14mm bolt hole rather than the 12mm my standard rims used.

The tyre shop recommended drilling out the wheels and putting a 12mm 45 degree taper inserts into the wheels.

Any recomendations? Please help!

do not drill !

if i'm understanding this, you have car with 12mm diameter bolt.....and am
guessing the bolt has (X) taper/cone seat. you have wheels from later model,
which uses 14mm dia. bolt with (Y) taper/cone seat. if so, contact OTISINC
to see if they have proper conversion bolt you need.

what i did....

Thanks Raymond

I will try a couple local MB specialists first.

Does anyone in Australia stock these bolts?

my guess is that if you're having to order from the US distributor, sending it
to you down under would add another $40-50....so the total would be a little
over $100 US. still cheaper than custom bolts if they charged $5. i've seen
higher price for custom.

depends on the weather
OE Mercedes wheels use a ball seat ..... along with ball seat lug bolts ....

larger cars run the 14mm radius seat with the 14mm diameter bolt and smaller/lighter cars run a 12mm radius seat and 12mm diamter bolt

The Wheels are factory Mercedes Benz wheels. I believe they are from a
W211.

Will the wheels fit with the special lug bolts that use a 14mm ball seats on a 12mm bolt?

With those custom lugs, it should fit. You'll need to size down the tires to match your C-Class as well.
