Lowering my W210 on 19s...?

An 8.5 inch rim may require an offset of et28. Many wheel shops even Tire Rack say a 8.5 et35 will fit but I had trouble mounting a 18x8.0 et35 using a 245/40/18 tire. I had to run the OEM Dunlop SP Sport 9000 in 245/40/18 which has a narrow shoulder however there was no more room inside to go inward further than 4mm. A 8.5 et35 rim would push the rim inward by 10mm and you may have to use a 235/35/19 tire. E55JAY had to return his custom order rims. The tire rubbed here:

Ok, thanks for the help guys. Only question I have... I know what the spring pad is, however, everyone keeps referring to the "#1 spring pad" and I don't know what that is. Is it a Mercedes part? Does it come with the H&Rs? Is it the stock pad?

Some cars have differenct sizes front and back - like 3 up front and 2 in back for example.
