Eibach Springs or H&S Springs Lowering Kit..

Hey Guys,

I recently put some rims on my ride... now I have to decide on what lowering kit to use.

What brand do you guys recommend.. I have mercedes e320 2003

Eibach Springs Lowering Kit or H&R Sport Spring Set

running staggered wheel set up. 19x8.5 with 245/35 series front 19x9.5 with 275/30 series in back..

I'm would like to lower my ride. about 1.5 inches infront and 1 inch in the back.. But I'm not sure which kit to use? what are the major differences between this two brands..

depends on the weather
lowering springs will kill OE shocks as the spring rate is higher

Bilstein HD Shock Front fitment (2)
for 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320 Sedan Standard Model

Bilstein HD Shock Rear fitment (2)
for 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320 Sedan Standard Model

Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set Front and Rear fitment (1)
for 2003 Mercedes-Benz E320 Sedan Standard Model

Are these items that I need.. second question

I'm running 19x8.5 245/35 series tire in front..
19x9.5 275/30 series tire in back...

if I lower my car 1inch in the front and 1.5 in the back.. are they are going to rub.. since i'm running such a wider tire on the back?

Hi Luke,

I have a 2006 Clk 500 convertible. Recently, I has the KW Varaint II coil over kit suspension installed with 19" wheel and 30 series tires. My wife complained that it ride too stiff (I think it fine). I thought about changing it to springs and shock suspension now but I'm having a hard time finding shocks for my car year and model. I know that Bilstein made them for my car BUT only in "HD" and not "sport" type. My question to you is, will the "HD" shocks be good enough with Eibach spring? What's the price for 2 front strut and 2 rear shocks? Thank you for your advices.

Luke,

How come the shocks you listed is not on the Tirerack.com website? All I see is Eibach and H&R springs were listed. Btw, Tirerack also listed the alignment camber bolt. Are those bolt for the front only like the one Mercedes sell or can be use for front and back?
