I want glue for tires!!
Hello,
I have been suffering with traction issues on my car (cls55 stock wheels 18) and am looking to upgrade to something that grips allot more for dig and rolling starts.
Current tires are firelli Pzero rosso mo 255/40 zr 18 (99y)
I find they are noisy and possibly not the best for grip.
I live in Kuwait summer most of the year and temps of 30+C.
So wet is not really a concern for me, although we might get some rain soon.
I drive on roads not tracks, and not much twisties driving.
So digs/ stop light and rolling races till who ever passes the other.
Comfort is something I would also like to have.
Have thought of maybe having two sets of rear tires
, do i need to change the front to?
Options thus far are
Daily drivers with great grip:
Potenza RE050A Pole Position
Toyo T1r's
Michelin PS2's
The extreme stuff:
Nitto 555r2 extreme
Potenza RE-01R
Toyo R888
I need your advice & recommendations please

depends on the weather
while the PS2 is a great blend of comfort and performance and would significantly out perform the Pirelli you currently have the RE01R is a better dry performer but the ride quality will suffer .... I would opt for the PS2's

But I'd be worried about handling and braking performance if I had such different tires on the two axles.

was thinking of keep the P zero rosso on the front n change the rear to PS'2, is that a bad mix?
the Toyo t1r's cost 718.907 USD for all four tires

03 CL55 AMG, 99 Acura 3.2TL w/03 conversion
I'm looking for a great set of tires for my 03 CL55. I'm in Miami, FL so I need some nice sticky, low road noise tires. Any Suggestions?

bridgestones have been getting good reviews, PS2's are already known for being great and amazing tires. Pirelli Rosso's are good tires, wont last long at all. they tend to wear our rather fast. I wouldn't put Toyo's on this kind of car. Stick to the higher end goodyear, pirelli, mich, bridgestones.... cant go wrong. however, having had PS2's, I wouldn't steer away from them since they have proven themselves to me multiple times.
