Question Luke, how are the aftermarket Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires marked?

Dealer presented me with a set of supposedly Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires. They had the "P-Zero" in red letters, but no markings of it being Rosso.

Also the back (255/40 ZR x 17) has the red letters slanted, but the front (225/40 ZR x 17) had the letters vertical. What gives?
Are these really P-Zero Rossos?

MY OEM blackwall Pirellis had P-Zero Rosso clearly marked.

depends on the weather
The original P-Zero system tires were identified with "P-Zero" in yellow. The Italian word for the color red is "Rosso" so if your p-zeros have red lettering they are P-Zero Rossos. There has been a change in the way they are marked and some of them still have vertical lettering and some have the slanted letting.

Ok here is my take on this:

I have 4 Pzero Rosso's on my car right now. Three are from Tirerack and one is from a local tire shop (Dont ask). The three from Tirerack all have the PZero in red and the raised Rosso label in black on the sidewall, but there is no mention of the name Pirelli anywhere. On the tire from the local shop there is the PZero in red and the Pirelli label raised in black but no mention of the name Rosso anywhere.

Go figure

Vic- nope! I know this pic probably isn't helpful, but if you blow it up maybe you can see there are no red PZero markings .

Newbie, when did you get those tires? I do believe when the Rosso's first came out they didnt have the red label on the side. I have had the Pzero yellow's where the yellow label was on the side but it would get wiped off after a few applications of tire dressing.

Vic, I bought them in April. I have no idea why there's no colored PZero marking. Oh well, they're *****ty tires and the S03s are much better .
