How good are Falken-452
Good day everyone. I just purchased a set of wheels and they came with near new Falken-452 tires. I have never used Falken before and I have not installed the wheels on the car yet. I was curious as to how good these tires are? Does anyone use them? I have an SL55 and it is a heavy car so I am curious how these (255/30/20 & 285/30/20) will do.
Thank you.
Thank you.

They are okay, not the best not the worst.
If you can I'd say go for some Nitto Invo's they are awesome tires and run for about ~$200 a piece. They are about the same price as 452's and tenfolds better.

Falken 452 dont do it!!
Very noisy, got a bubble on one of the tires i had. Switched to Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. No complaints other than price. Basically u get what you pay for.

Well you can't really compare PS2's to 452's lol, but yeah PS2's blow 452's out of the water back inside and out again.

Thanks guys for the info. The wheels I bought came with these tires brand new so I don't want to take them off yet. Guess I will have to run through them and then upgrade to either Nitto or something else.
How many miles should I expect out of these tires?

Like anything else, your results may be based on the size of the tire you have. I have 452's on my 2004 TL and they do a really good job holding the road and around corners and are not noisy at all. They hold up FAR better than the Nittos and are on par with the mid-level Toyo performance tire so all in all, they are worth their price. If you don't want to stay with them, you can sell them on eBay for a a buck and a half each.

now that u mention it, they are a NOISY bunch.. although, given, i've travelled 43000km and the tread's still about 40%.. wished they'd just give in and wear off completely so i can replace them.
on the otherhand, yokohama advans are great..

I just went through a set and I got about 14K on the rear, which is really good for my car.
I thought they stuck ok. About the same as the Conti's.
For the price I think they are good. I wish the Goodyear GS-D3 was available in my sizes. I love those.

A bit funny but I've had mine now for 3 years and just TODAY discovered that one of them has a sidewall blister (on the inside) so it looks like I am having a defect as well. I guess I'll be replacing that one. For a 19-inch tire, they are priced around others of similar sidewall ($150-$200 depending on where you guy). I would be interested in learning if the tire dealer gave you any credit for the defective one. If so, I may go to an authorized Falken shop and see what they can do. I only have about 20K miles on these so they are a bit less than 50% worn at this point

Falken 425 can not be mounted on a 19.5in rim? but can i mount on a 19in rim? What size Falken 425 are you using on your MB anyone?

I replaced the CONTI Sport 225x45x17 & 245x40x17 with FALKEN 452 (same size) last year, as far as price, Falken 452 is GOOD for their price, same noise level as Conti Sport. The tires shop said it will last between 20-30K miles depend on my driving style. Michelin PS2 price is x2 of Falken, there is no comparaison there. I am on it 10K now, but it look that the rear (right) thread is less than the rear left, I afraid that the rear set would not last more than 20K miles. That's my experience with Falken KF452 in one year.

I finally installed the 20" iForged wheels that I had purchased with these tires (Falken 452) and I took it for a spin today. I noticed no noise at all from them. Nothing more than what I got with my OEM Michelin PS. The ride is great considering these are 255/30/20 in front and 285/30/20 in rear. I took the car on the highway and it handled great. I did notice that it pulls to the right if I let go of the steering wheel. I don't remember having that issue with the OEM wheels and tires but I can't remember if I ever let the steering wheel go. Any ideas on this issue?

tires
I just puts some 452 on my car and the car is also pulling to the right much harder than my stocks. I just had my aligment done before I put the new tires on so I am thinking its the tires. I no it doesnt make anysense but it does pull to the right
And yes, they are noisy but handle pretty good and they are pretty cheap. I would buy them again

I never noticed the car pull to the right with the OEM wheels and tires and the tires were nearly new on the OEM wheels. I am going to get the wheels balanced this coming week to see if that makes a difference. I am curious if anyone else has experienced the issue of the car pulling. I do notice some vibration at higher speeds so that is why I am getting the wheels balanced. I honestly don't notice anymore noise than with the oem (18") wheels and Michelin tires. Great tires if I can get rid of the vibration and pulling.
