Hahahaha that's funny. My CLK came with Michelin Pilot Sports (if we're talking about the same tires here).

Gary, I hate to tell you, but they are still screwing with you.

CLK's come with Michillen Pilot Sports (depending on where you buy it). The tires are not the reason why your car is having problems. Rather than have them make you buy new tires again, have them put your tires and wheels on a CLK that they have, and drive it. If the problems are now on the new car, it is the wheels and tires, if they are not, it is your suspension. Maybe it's just me, but this seems like common sense in diagnosing a problem. Once you're ready, I can have your car go to Caliber.

depends on the weather
Pilot Sports are great tires which work very well on a CLK and there are quite a few CLK's that came from MErcedes with Pilot Sports installed by the factory ... Almost all of the high performance AMG cars come with tham also and they go so far as to list in the manual "use only Pilot Sport tires"

Gary,

Luke brings up an important point that should not be overlooked if the dealer gives you more problems regarding using the Pilot Sports... The manual says to. It would be hard for them to suggest otherwise.

Toyota Tacoma & Lexus IS250
I thought the Pilot Sports have a lot stiffer sidewall than usual which equals more performance but less comfort.
