Can I run my Lorinser wheels without the spacers?
I have the RS5 Lorinsers. I just installed the adjustable camber rods in the back, and of course not the tops of the tires have been moved outward and come into contact with the quarter panel. If I can take the 12mm spacers off of the wheels, they will fit perfectly. However, I know these spacers are hubcentric.
So, my question is, can I run these wheels without the hubcentric spacers?
Thanks

are the wheels bored to 66.56? If not you can get hubcentric rings and use them with no spacers, then you wont get shaking steering wheel.

you can get them online or a local tire/wheel shop. You need to know the diameter of your wheel bore and the inner diameter is 66.56 for benz. So the outter diamter of the ring is your wheels, and the inner is the mercedes bore=66.56. Needs to fit real snug in the wheel

If I take the spacer off, the rims are not "hubcentric". It seems the stress is all on the lug bolts and I'm not sure that will suffice.

Your Lorinser RS5 wheels have a base offset of ET38. The 12mm mounting kit with 12x1.5 lug bolts that you are currently running (part# 433 4001 10) gives your particular setup an effective offset of ET26. For the W210 chassis E-Class, Lorinser offers either the more aggressive 12mm setup that you currently have, and also a less aggressive 7mm setup (part# 433 4000 10) which will give you an effective offset of ET31 which would offer 5mm more clearance from the fender line.
They do also offer a mounting kit which is just a center ring with the appropriate length Lorinser 12x1.5 lug bolts as well (part# 433 4012 10), but I have no TÜV certification on an ET38 fitment application for the W210 and am not sure if you will encounter rubbing issues on the inside of the wheels/tires.
If you do decide to go with a set of custom made center rings, you will need to have them machined with an outer diameter of 82mm and an inner diameter of 66.6mm. You will also need to have your current Lorinser lug bolts cut to the appropriate length. Do not use your old factory lug bolts as the lug seating portion of the Lorinser RS5 wheel is not set up to use the factory 12x1.5 lugs and you would risk lug failure which could result in the wheel coming off while you are driving. Please note that if you do decide to run non-factory approved mounting hardware, you do so at your own risk. Lorinser will not be liable for fitment issues or hardware failure when the wheels are installed using 3rd party or modified hardware

Thanks Ken. Do you have a source where I can pick up a set of the 7mms? I've seen 3mm spacers somewhere before too and I think they would actually help out even more. I did take the spacer off of one wheel to see if it would fit on the car without it. The wheel bolts up fine. At least it didnt rub on any suspension pieces. I did not drive the car so I dont know if the tire would rub on the inner fender at all. Any thoughts on the 3mm? Also does Lorinser make these center rings you are referring to?

Lorinser doesn't offer a 3mm mounting kit. They go from 0mm (ring only) to 7mm and up. Lorinser does offer a mounting kit with just the ring and lugs, however as I mentioned earlier I have no certification for use of that hardware with the RS5 wheel on a W210. The wheel may bolt up fine, but then rub when the suspension is compressed... to be honest, I'm not sure. If you send me a PM with your location, I can get you contact info for your nearest authorized Lorinser reseller.

Thanks Ken! Wealth of information. Hey, one more question...do you know what size lug bolts I will need if I go with no spacer and just get the ring only (0mm)? pm sent.

The 433 4012 10 mounting kit includes the center ring and also 5 lug bolts. The reason for this is that Lorinser tuner wheels are designed to fit all of the 5x112 bolt pattern Mercedes-Benz chassis whether the car takes 12x1.5 lugs or 14x1.5 lugs. I don't have the technical specs on exactly what radius of the ball-seat portion of the Lorinser lug is. I do know that standard 12x1.5 Radius 12 lugs will not work. Whether you'll need a 12x1.5 Radius 14 lug, or Radius 13, or Radius ?? is something that I would not be able to tell you. This is why it would be better to get the complete mounting hardware that was designed for the wheel.

Ok, I've talked to a few other sources on Lorinser spacers and nobody can seem to answer my question.
Wheel is 18x9.5 ET 38 with 12mm spacer (currently). Tire is 265/35. My question is, will replacing the 12mm with a 7mm spacer fix my rubbing issues? Here's a pic and it doesnt look like 5mm difference will be enough....

but you have to regconize ,your wheelbolts are 5mm to long,so you have to compensate for that(use shorter ones)

I finally found a source for 0mm spacers and tried them on this weekend. Still need to order shorter lug bolts, but here's a trial run...
Rear with 12mm spacer...you can see why they rub:

Here's with the 0mm spacer. Think they're gonna work! I have plenty of clearance on the inside of the wheel with brakes, suspension, and wheelwell:

Looks like I still might need to massage the inside of the wheel lip, but I wont know until I get the shorter lugs and can take it for a test drive. Stay tuned!

Lug bolts came in! Got em on, and......NO MORE RUBBING! So, with a 265/35/18 tire, you can run 38mm offset on a 18x9.5 rim, and a lowered car..... with no rubbing......

LOVE those wheels!
In fact, I love them so much I just picked up a set of RS5s for my SLK230.
Any chance you still have the 12mm and 0mm spacers and want to part with them?
Thanks!

I have:
2 12mm spacers
6 allen head screws for the spacers
2 0mm spacers
8 correct length lug bolts for the 12mm spacers (only have 8 because I have wheel locks)
Would like to sell it all together, but let me know what you'd like to do.
