AMG 2-PC 19" Style IV wheels and W211 E55 questions
The AMG website shows a fitment of :
8,5 x 19 ET 30
tyre size 245/35
9,5 x 19 ET 31
tyre size 275/30
for the W211 E class. Do I need to make any modifications or will these wheels simply bolt onto the car? Also, does TireRack carry the 9.5x19 wheels? I only saw the 10x19 size on the site. Finally, is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S a decent tire? I have the Pilot Sports currently on my C32 and am happy with 'em but Michelin doesn't make it in one of the sizes (IIRC 275/30-19)

You can get them from the dealer, but you will pay alot, Iam looking into them for my E55, statusimports.com but they are also expensive. I think relative to the price of the ones they have for the SL which are on Tire rack now, that they will be the cheapest when they start to carry them, but I havent head anything yet

I am not sure when Tirerack will have them, I guess Luke is the best person to answer this Q.
If you were to use 19" wheels, its better for you to put Michelin Pilot Sport (if you're happy with them). Why do you want to put a set of A/S tires on 19s"? With these wheels, you should get the best possible rubber.

depends on the weather
19X8.5 AMG DBLSP 2PC $859.00
------------------------------
19X9.5 AMG DBLSP 2PC $879.00
it would be a straight bolt on fitment for a W211 and we will have them in March

My source told me the wheels will be available to me in March. You do not need any modifications IF the wheels are for a W211 E55 as every AMG has pre-rolled fenders from the factory. The 9.5x19 is a new size for the E-class. The 10x19 has a different offset and is for SL only.

Well, the dealer hasn't been able to get them yet so I cancelled that order and just ordered the 19x8.5 front and 19x10 rear from Tire Rack fitted with Bridgestone Potenza S-03s (245-35YR19 F, 275-30YR19 R). They didn't have the 2003 W211 E55 in the system but did have the E500 Sport showing that as a bolt-on fitment. Luke, anything I should know prior to installing them?

Those are listed at www.statusimports.com/amg.html . Tire Rack does not have them.
