depends on the weather
Internal structure, tread compound, design .... it's a different tire

with that said it is compatible with the older design but you would need to match them in pairs.

I will let Luke answer, but DO NOT get Nankang tires. Bubbles and splits with those, personal experience and from several others as well. There are posts on the forum about this.

im stuggling with this...thx for input
my nitto invos split the inner wall after 2mo.
the ventus dont seem to be great traction...

reviews mention bubbles on the dunlops......

ARGH! everybody rates them different. for 250$ a pair i though the dunlops would be bang for buck...800-900 for ps2 is brutal.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Don't kid yourself....

I bought a set of the new PS2 AS plus for an R230 SL last week, and they are fantastic. Ride, noise, wet, all terrific. Of course I can't help on wear, but the utog is near 500. They are not cheap, but ride and drive super....

I ended up buying 2 sets(4) 285/30/19 Dunlop sport 9000 for $500.
I bought 1 pilot sport as on eBay but was impossible
to match up for a decent price as discontinued, so seller refunded $ and I bought 4 Dunlops for dirt cheap.
