2006 ML500
Exclamation WHATS THE TRUTH ON MY ML500

Can any one please tell me what is the truth. We just bought 2006 ML500 that came with 22 inch D'Vinic Povatti chrome wheels. The look great but our Benz repair shop says to get them off the car ASAP. Before we have a problem with the tranny or something worst. So far the run flat indacator sensor needs to be reset. I am not sure how to do it yet because we dont have the manual that came with the car. But I understand the rims are very heavy because of the size and the fact they are chrome. So I can tell the brake pads are shot already because the brake pedal goes down pretty far when we stop. So can any one give us a straight answer on what is safe and if the rims will damage the car in long term use. Thanks.....

mostly cos your 50 tones car is putting alot of pressure on the ultra low profile tire on the 22"
just make sure they have the same diameter as your stock tires

If it's staggered, it will be a big problem.

Good point. Is this an issue only with 4Matics?

Why does staggered cause a problem?

The difference in diameter would be a bigger deal than the wheels being staggered or not.
