My 2006 CLS AMG with new shoes.
I selected Savini SV8s. 20X9 in front and 20X11 in back

HOLY HELL!
Those are my exact wheels! You even did the black connecting hardware too! Looks like the only difference is I had the area between the inner and outer spokes painted black too.
Nice choice.

It's true. I was inspired by your car. I selected the silver paint with no black between the spoke. Thanks for noticing and replying. FYI: the new shoes are lighter in weight than the stock setup. I'm looking forward to see how this will affect my 1/4 mile runs.

Thanks for the reply. The front tire size is 255/30. The rear is 295/25. I was going to go with 305/25 in the rear but Michelins seem to run a little wide compared to the Pirelli. I wanted the stretched over the wheel look but maintain the stock overall diameter.

The good news is, you'll get better bite with the 295s out back, rather than the 285s.
Who did you get the wheels from?

Yup, my wheels were lighter than stock, but your tires end up being a bit heavier. It's a net loss of 0. My best time on the stock 18's was 11.55@120, and my best time on the Savini Forged 20's is 11.40@120. Throw the ETs out, as my 11.40 was the product of a ridiculous 60' time, but notice the same 120mph. The consistent trap, proves a net loss of 0 wheel HP with the 20's, as unsprung weight stayed about the same.
The good news is, you'll get better bite with the 295s out back, rather than the 285s.
