ML320 tire load ratings

ML320 tire load ratings
Looking at tires for my 1999 ML320 and everything says I need to use a 109H load/speed rating. Then I look at a 2002 ML320 and it comes stock with 106H tires even though it weighs MORE than my 1999 ML320.

Will my truck ride smoother with a 106H tire? The tires I want are a 106T (Michelin) and I want to know if this is safe.

T is a really low speed rating.

Get the MO tires recommended in your owners manual.

The 106T sounds like a 'merikun car Michelin. Michelin recommends Latitude Tour HP.

The ML320 minimum recommended speed rating is "T" and the minimum load index is 106. With higher speed ratings and higher load indexes the ride firmness and/or harshness does increase. So, if oyu are lookign fro the plushest ride possible look for a service description of 106T.

Luke how would you rate the latitude tour 106T's winter performance? Will I see any adverse effects by not going with the latitude tour HP?

Awesome! I drove a Buick Enclave with the Michelin Latitude Tour and was very impressed with the quiet ride. Hopefully it does the same on my old ML
