Rotor Coning???

LUKE- Rotor Coning???
Luke-
I am experiencing a rotational vibration, noise and feel increases or decreases in sync with speed.
I was wondering how to tell if the disk is "coning". Upon visual inspection, the outer brake pads seem to be worn on an angle. The outer portion of the pad, further from the hub, is thinner then closer to the hub.
Is this normal or an indication of coning?

depends on the weather
the pad wear you mention could be an indication of a coning rotor or caliper flex .... typically you only see those 2 things under extremem conditions ... have you been to a DE or track day or something ??? I would suspect caliper flex when under extreme use before rotor coning
the only way to tell for sure is to measure the rotor off of the car with a micrometer

Typically use for me is commute to and from work. I drive hard though, and I tend to break late. I also have 27k on the car. I've only done two time trials, that was last year though.
So with the micrometer, I am just looking for anomalies? Or decreasing thickness towards the outer edge of the rotor?
