Saw my first set of Spinners today!

A E320 passed me to make a right turn (I wasn't in my CLK). The car was silver with 20# Spinners. The chrome flashes in the sun as it drove past. They just look odd, no not odd just plain goofy. IMO

Luke,

When is TireRack going to offer some 24" spinners? Can you get any weighing under 24lbs?

A few weeks ago some guy was shot and killed in Hollywood because a robber wanted his spinner wheels.

I'm thinking, he probably got shot because the wheels are too damn ugly!

if I had an escalade, i'd probably put some 26" spinners on. My neighbor has a pearl white one w/ 26" spinners and when he rolls by, im just in awe.

I saw a set today on a Suburban. Are they not supposed to spin at the same speed or even in the same direction? Hmmm. Maybe he had replica spinners???

I've seen a few sets... on an SUV they can look ok but IMO they're a fad that's gonna get old in a hurry. Anyone remember vinyl tops? Leopard print seat covers? Automotive fashion moves in a hurry... dumping $8-$10k into a set of Dub Spinners that're gonna be passe in two-three years IMO is a biiig waste of money. What's sick today is gonna be yecch tomorrow.

spinners are not that expensive anymore

they make some spinners in 18'' that are less than $2,000 a full set. not real darvins or anything, but they still keep movin when ya car stops

Your neighbors and others may think the same of your wheel choice or my wheel choice.

It is his car and only he has to love it.

First off,
If you seen spinning rims on a vehicle and one of them are not spinning or not working together they are most likely NOT DAVINS.
Who was the first one to make spinning rims and created the only technolgy ive seen that always works consistently.
He also has another HOT design called DAvinBlack that has a blacked out back attahed to the rim so you cant see the rotor or anything inside just the rim spinning on a black surface. www.davinwheels.com

Davin also has new rims coming out with real burlwood, walnut and Carbon fiber on the spokes, They dont look that hot to me but you have to give credit to people who try to innovate things and not bring out the same tired old designs just for people who don't want to stand out.

Next up came Omega with their "Zab Juda" rims that people always call SPREWELL's when in fact Spreewell doesnt make spinning rims, he is only one of the west coast distributors for DAVIN rims.

I see those all the time and like 2 are spinning and the rest are just stopped making it look so stupid when the dude probably just paid 5000 for them.

Finally, Spintek was the last one in the game and they seem to have gone crazy with the concept. They have them from 18" up and all they do is sell the outer spinner that you can add to any rim to make your rims spin. They have about 8 different styles that you can add to your existing rim. The 18's cost like 800 per spinning add-on.
check out http://www.superbuytires.com/wheels_...pinning+wheels
for every type of spinning wheel out on the market.

P.S. Also I'm sorry I couldnt think up a cool username like "SwishaHouse" . Or put a car I know I'm not getting in my signature to try to get people to think im cool.

Swishahouse, its funny that you said and I quote "they look ok but I still wouldnt get them becasue they are played out."

But in your signature you say your getting a cl600 with 19" Davins.... Please Explain...thanks

I kinda like the carbon inserts

I don't really care for the spinning action but I think these Davin's look pretty good stricty and solely from a design and style standpoint. If they made these in non-spinners they may look nice on some Mercedes:

I am pretty sure there is something on them like a switch to stop them from spinning. It sucks because they are still the same price whether you want them to spin or not.

...funny...I always thought a "spinner" was a rather attractive, short and petite young lady with the uncanny ability to be...well enjoyably "spun" on a certain thingy of mine...if you will

learn sumptin' new every day, I guess

btw: if we all call Tire Rack enough times requesting spinners....they will no doubt stock them - the "wheels" that is...unless Luke can pull some "strings" and hook us up with some real spinners - that reminds of this time one time at band camp...ah, forget it!
