Brabus Monoblock VI and Brake

I'm considering to put the 8.5x18 Brabus Monoblock VI on my C200 Kompressor (163hp). Will that affect the performance of the brakes from the factory? The original wheels are 7"x16". Do I need to change the brakes of my car?

It shouldn't affect braking but for a few feet 60-0, assuming the 18" wheels are a little heavier. You'll feel it more accelerating than braking, but other than that you should be just fine.

shadowlord, the pic you asked for.

shadowlord, the pic you asked for.

I just get it done yesterday :-)
8.5x18 Front; 9.5x18 Rear
The new wheels greatly effect the acceleration. I plan to change the rear to 8.5x18 or maybe put it Brabus exhaust system to make the acceleration better. The Bridgestone tires s-03 is very good. It still give me the soft riding feeling (as MB should be).

Have you done anything to your car? Please share with me your experience.

Sweet ride!, i am waiting for tires to fit my amg style iv. As i am running staggered, the 255/35 at rear is a rare tire size to find here. Since yours is a 2 piece, theoretically the rims will be heavier. I am also getting the so3 to compliment the style iv.

Is yours a w203 and does the pair of bi-xenon will fit a w209 clk?. Anyhow, i am still very stock whilst waiting for stuff to get in, will post the pic ...once i done the installation.

I may be going to BKK on 4/7 for 1-2 days to visit the MBK centre to check out the place. Actually, someone gave me a contact in "wor-ra-juck" near Hua Lumpang BKK Railway Station for accessorials and parts, not sure if you know the place.

Enjoy your ride!!

Styling IV would fit beautifully on W203. I hope you go with 18". I saw the 17" and it looks too small.

Post some pics when you get it done.
:-)

If you come to Bangkok, I'm sure you can find 255/35 of Michelin, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Falken, and more.

I know "wor-ra-juck"
It's a place selling auto parts. I did't go there often. If you're looking to buy tires, you may have to go to tire stores in down town area.
