If you take the 18" AMGs from an W220 S-class w/ sport package, will it fit a W208 CLK430?

I could technically just add spacers to make it fit, right? maybe, 8-10mm spacers?

Oh, and are there any safety concerns with adding spacers?

Thanks
Danny

s-class uses 14mm radius seat lug bolts and the CLK uses 12mm lug bolts so your CLK lug bolts will not properly fasten the wheel to the car .... and not supply enough clamping force

Thats perfect. Thanks Harris!!!

At least, now if I find stuff on ebay, I won't stupidly buy W211 E55 wheel to try and mount on my W208. Thanks again guys...

but can he not take the studs from the S class and use on the 430.

I know the wheels i have on clk will work on S class. They a 19" AMG wheels. You just have to use the bolts off the s class to the wheel on.

How can a bolt with 14mm in diameter (S-class bolts)be fitted on a 12mm hole (CLK hole) unless you drill it bigger?

Maybe Kerr was using 12mm bolts on wheels with 14mm holes...

Btw, I thought there were bolts on the market that had 12mm radius, but at the same time, had a wider bolt head for this specific purpose of fitting 14mm holed wheels onto 12mm cars...

ok this is what i did...

I ordered 19" AMG wheels from a CL 600. THey sent me the wheeels new lug nuts and spacer.

I then took those wheels to my fathers house and installed the 19CL wheels on the S500 but i used the S500 lug nuts.

Now that i typed it out better, i just relize that had nothing to do with the topic of your post. You want to run S class wheels on a CLK...

I have never seen a 12mm lugbolt with a 14mm radius ball seat
