BBS RS for W210
TIA
I have a set of 3-pc BBS RS rims I took off my 91 LS400 when I sold it; will these fit on my 99 E430? I know I probably need different lug nuts, but otherwise can I use these rims?
TIA

Lexus:
5X114.3 bolt pattern
??.?? center bore
Mercedes:
5x112 bolt pattern
66.56 center bore
Unless, the particular wheel is 'dual drilled' for 5x112 and 5x114.3. This means the wheel has 10 lug holes instead of just 5. Five holes are for Lexus and the other 5 are for MBZ. If this is the case then a different centering ring is required to bring the Lexus center bore down to a Mercedes 66.56.

??? They are original wheels BTW and not aftermarket copies as I have walked up and have seen the raised Brabus lettering on the actual rim itself...

Then how in the heck are these Lexuses rolling on Brabus and Carlsson wheels

Plus some people do stupid things and many think 5 hole wheels are all the same and don't know nothing about a wheels center bore or bolt pattern. I just ran into a woman with R129 SL wheels and tires on her W203 C-Class. The offset was wrong and of course the tires were too tall. I told her that the fitment was wrong and she replied "she had no problems". I looked at her rear wheels and the damn fender is chewing away the damn tire because it protuded beyond the fender well and the tire was too tall. Some idiots put on incorrect fitments and just live with the rubbing because they like the look.

Carlsson did make a couple of wheels for a Lexus application a few years ago

My mechanic who is the offical local Brabus importer swears there are so many replicas in town its merciless. He taught me how to spot one........I've yet to see a genuine second hand one for sale!
Jimmy, just to give you some peace of mind, I've seen copies of Brabus rims with the protruding logo, but of course, this is HK!

in they go to the basement.....!!!
I don't mind copied or replica wheels. If they are mfr'd well, you can save a lot of money on a set as compared with originals. The only thing that isn't right is placing original stickers, stamps or any other sort of identifiable marks that mislead people into thinking they are the real thing. It's along the same lines of re-badging cars (ie. E320 into an E55), it just shouldn't be happening. That' just my opinion of course...
These are more like "knockoffs" rather than replicas. I am weary of these things as they can't be subject to the same R&D and testing that the originals go thru - its really not a case of "the pricier the better"....there was one member on this forum who had his "new Brabus" crack under normal driving conditons.....i wonder whether they're selling these Taiwanese pirates in the US...
I just decided to surf this board cos the W210 one was getting a bit dull (except for E-Klasse's last post on the Pic thread - LOL!) and I wanted to find my earlier posts re finding the good looking, deep lipped wheels for my car......still can't find them (might have to do a proper search).

Will do a search now and let you know which wheels they were - I think you'll like em too and they'll go very well with your new "E420 Carlsson"
I recently found some deep lipped multi-peice BBS's (latest Japanese imports I was told) that'll fit the W210 and they look supreme. Very similar to the I-forged's except without the high-polish finish. They cost about $600 each.......still considering after painfully forking out my life savings on the AMG kit recently......).
