Kleemann Wheels

I have been pricing out Kleemann 19" wheels for my 04 CLK 500.
I am being told to go with 8.5 in front and 9.5 in rears. I am also being told to put 235/35/19 for tires in front and 265/30/19 in rears. Will this look stupid? Why not 255/35/19 in rear? Help!

If your info was being told by Kleemann, then you should trust them. The proper tire sizes for 8x5x19 and 9.5x19 are 235/35/19 and 265/30/19. You want to keep the overall diameter of the front and rear tires pretty much the same.

The diameter of the 235/35/19 is 25.4"
The diameter of the 265/30/19 is 25.4"
However, the diameter of the 255/35/19 is 26.2", your speedo will be off.

Are you getting the new TS-6 wheels???

Personally, I think a 265 is small for the rear, but with the 209 fender you can not comfortably put more. For a show car, most people prefer the staggered setup, and want to use the argest diameter tire in the rear. If larger would fit, I would recommend a 275+.

Thanks for you responses. I have put the order in. No, I did not get the new Kleeman's. I do not care for them to much. I love the look of the 19's. Car will be here next week, wheels and suspension will also be here next week, but exhaust has to come from Denmark I was told.

Are you getting the wheels directly from Kleemann USA?

I just picked up a copy of the new Kleemann catalog, and the new rims looks a whole lot better in the catalog than they do in the web pics that I have seen.

The right tire size for the W 209 with KLEEMANN TM-5 8,5 / 9,5 x 19 are 235/35 19 front and 275/30 19 rear, no body work is required.

Frisco, nice done - look awesome, you just put left side wheels on the right side. , the KLEEMANN TS-6 wheel's have direction on them, so both sides take the air from under the car and out.

LOL - Hey well I tried I guess it's better that I botched the photoshopping instead of finding out that I was driving around all my life with the rims on the wrong side of my car!!! (I guess I fixed the pic too) Nonetheless, those rims look really hot in those CL/SL pictures in your catalog (my pics don't do them justice IMO) - those are 21s though in those catalog pics right?
