I fitted the 1 piece AMG 5 spoke rims having 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in the rears on my 98 C43. The front tires are 245/40 18 in front and 275/35 18 in back. No rubbing when doing sharp turns, however I might feel a little rubbing when going over hugh speed bumps.

for 18x8 rims....I'm not sure what would be the widest tires you could have without having it stick out from the rim since my original 17x8.5 in the rear had 245/40/17.

naw, for the fronts, i am currently running 225 40 18. I need to increased the width for my rear tires, and i think the only real way to do it, would be to get a 9" rear rims and do it properly by getting 255 35 18, but if i can't, then i might just have to get 235 35 18 and be happy with it i guess.

cool, good luck. but I tell you if you could get some 9.5 in the back then it would defintly look mean in the rears. Vette size look.

going w/the 235/35/18's wont change much if you are looking for a more aggressive stance.
