Will these 20x8.5 rims fit on a W208?

Looking at getting a set of TSW rims. The seller said they came off a 2006 CLS. I asked offset and he claimed 1" front and 2 1/2" rear, that has to be a mistake?

Trying to get the width now but does anyone know if they will fit a W208? Also if they do, what is the best tire size?

Here is the inside sticker:

I would stay away from putting a 20" on a W208, you won't be able to fit it with the correct tires, and the fitment is too aggressive for the car.

I would suggest going with a maximum 19" wheel and tire fitment, this way you can get the proper tires that are correct for the car and you can hand pick exactly the wheels you want for the car that will look the best. Some single pc monoblock wheels in 19" look bigger than a 20" lip wheel, so the appearance of some 19's could give a better look.

The front tires that work best on your W208 is a 235/35-19 and for the rear a 265/30-19.

Buying some used 20" wheels is just going to create a situation where you throw good money after bad.

Typically for the W208 you can run anything from an ET38 down to an ET28. It just depends on the wheel and overall size, if you run a 8.5 with a 9.5 or 10.0 rear. The tires best to run are the 235/35-19 front and 255 or 265/30-19 rear.

Running the 19 with a more aggressive offset is going to look far better than going with a set of 20's that you have to run a high offset to get the wheels and tires to tuck, and at that point you lose the aggressive look to size only and then it really does not look well or function with much performance.

Bigger is not always better, so by going to a 19 and filling up the well with a nice aggressive offset and proper sized wheels and tires you will finish the car with a more striking appearance and a more functional performance tire set up.

I hope this info is helpful...I attached a couple pics of a 208 with a 19" package.

When it comes to wheels and tires it is always best to turn to the European tuners and their app guides, this really is the Bible of what fits and functions, so AMG, Brabus, Carlsson will always be the the trusted applications. They all have to meet the Strict German TUV approval and of course the roads in Europe have much higher speeds than we do here in the States, so tires and wheels are pretty much made for function along with the proper look.

Most of the Forged wheel companies here in the states all look to what the tuners from Europe do, that is really because the tire development from most of the Tire manufactures is based in Europe as well, so that is why I refer to the tuners wheel applications as the Bible to what fits.

Let me know if you are looking for anything in particular and I can see about finding for you what you want.

I have looked all winter and we just coming into a summer now and i would say i have a mill pics on my computer of every w208 and rim possible. Half the rims i want dont exist in the sizes or i have to run 8.5 all round.. Mildly annoying to say the least. Then i find something i like sorta and then doubt myself.. Just about said screw the w208 and move to another platform.

I have been looking for a 2008 clk63 coupe but they hard as hell to find (well the color etc i want)

But thats another story i will most likely get HRE or DPE rims and pay lots
