Your opinion on Toyo T1-S and Dunlop SP9000

I have had Dunlop SP9000s and have been very satisfied with the ride, grip, noise and comfort levels. But a lot of you here seem to swear by the Toyos. Also, recently, Consumer Guide rated the Toyo T1-S higher than the SP9000. On top of that, the Toyo is cheaper. What are your opnions between the two?

DO NOT BUY TOYO!!!! I had those tires on my 93Rx-7 with 245/40ZR18 Front and 275/35ZR18 and guess what?? Within a period of 16 months, I've gone through 3 new front tires, 2 new rear tires. All because of bubbles and some other ****.(I didn't pay for replacements since I bought a road hazhard warranty from NTB) I almost got into a major accident because that stupid Toyo blew up on me on I95 going 74MPH. My brother also had toyos on his 97 Accord and guess what?? Samething. Tire Bubbles...tire bubble..tire bubbles then "POP!!!!!" I am telling you. DO NOT GET TOYOs!!! Makes me mad just thinking about it.

Huh. I'm running FZ-4's in 225/50-16 in NYC, and no issues with sidewall bubbles or anything. Then again, a 50 ratio tire is quite a bit of sidewall protection...

This is the first time that I have read serious complaint on Toyo tires. I am on my 4th set of T1-S now and I am still EXTREMELY happy with it. I never had any problem with T1-S.

There have been reports that S0-3 and PZero have bubbles too.

I agree that Pirellis bubble very easily from first hand experience myself. I generally steer away from them.

I am actually really dissapointed with my michelin pilot alpin tires, poor snow traction and lousy grip on wet/sandy roads. One of em has a bubble in it too. I love my firestone firehawk SZ50EP summer tires, too bad i cant use em in the winter... i hate living in New england

I've never had any problems using Toyo tires in my experience... and never heard of bubbling issues with Toyo's... I know a lot of people that run FZ-4's and T1-S's with no issues...
