SSR Competitions on a C32

Has anyone out there tried to put SSR Competitions on a C32? I love the way that they look, they are super light, and not too expensive. I think that Speedybenz put them on his C43 (by redrilling the holes?), but I have not heard of anyone with them on a C32. Is it true that the SSR Competition for the Audi A4 (17") is a 112 X 5 bolt pattern and will fit on the C32?

If they won't just "bolt right up," do you know what such an installation would entail (spacers, etc.)? I would like to keep my stock tires, so would really prefer to stay with a 17" wheel. If 17" is not an option, how about 18" SSR Comps?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

SSR Comps on C32

Thanks Luke!

If they will fit without having to rape my car, you'll have a sale. Look forward to your reply.

Your only issue is the hub size -- they definitely do make the SSR Comps in 5x112 (I put a set of those on my VW Passat for a track day back in October), so Luke just needs to confirm the hub size. MBZ hubs are bigger than VW/Audi hubs, so whereas I could mount MBZ wheels onto my Passat with hub adapter, it doesn't always work the other way.

Good luck, they're sweet wheels. My friend lent me his set -- Yoko ES100's in 235/40-17 on the 17x8.5 wheels. By far the best traction I've ever had at a track event, to date.

SSR Comps on a C32

Hey Luke:

Is hub size going to be the problem with the SSR Comps on my C32? If so, is there a remedy?

According to Luke, the issue with the SSR Comps on the C32 is not the hub size. Rather, it is the offset. Apparently, the SSR Comps have a 42 mm offset, which will cause them to rub in the front. Anyone know a safe, economical solution for this problem?

The SSR Comp will clear the brakes, BUT it is only available in a 8.5" width and that is too aggressive with the ET35 ( I located a 35mm offset wheel rather than the 42 we spoke about ) When checked the inside rim section will hit the strut.........

need to go lower offset and, or a narrower width which currently does not exist

a 10mm spacer would probably make it clear but, that is something I can not recommend .....

wheel will not fit properly

Thanks Luke!

Too bad, I really like those wheels. You aren't kidding about the strut tower-I never realized how close it is to the front wheel! Anyways, thanks for checking.
