? on new wheels..20X10 or 20x11

I know there are a lot of people that will very much be against going 20's at all. Here is what I have been looking at and I do not know much about these different wheels so that is why I am asking for opions, good or bad and all comments will help.

Does anyone know STI in L.A. ? Are they good?
Before speaking with them, I was talking with a guy at emwheels.com in Miami, FL and going to order there, since you save on sales tax right? Still probably going to go that way. Any opionions on ordering from out of state?

WHEELS:

Makaveli Trionfo ---- Guy at STI told me those wheels are terrible and company is going out of business. True or is it that they don't carry the line so don't want me going that way? Not sure. Also i guess this wheel is polished all the way through to the inside of the wheel unlike most wheels. I was given a price of about $6000 shipped on this one. with tires

GFG Trento 5 ---- The Trionfo is basically the same wheel. GFG more known company i guess?? around $6000 shipped on this one with tires

Symbolic F15 - $4200 with tires here.

Paul Pearce wheel that i guess STI made for him. NOT sure but around 6-7k i believe.

Size I am considering :

ConiSport - does only Conti make this tire size??
20x11 - 305/25 20" rear
20x9 - 255/30 20" front

or

Toyo or PZero or S03's
20x10 - 275/30 20" rear
20x8.5 - 245/35 20" front

OK well if anyone can offer any help..please do. Do you think once i get my stock wheels replaced cause of what the dealer did should i sell those to the wheel place or keep them. I am thinking keep them...but it was an option they gave me. They probably would only give me 2k anyways...

First of all, I have never heard of any of these companies you are mentioning. Your best bet is going with a reputable company such as HRE, Brabus, Carlsson, or Iforged that either custom make wheels to your car or fits wheels on SL's all day long. Do NOT go anything bigger than 10.5 in the rear as you will run into problems. I have 20x9-F and 20x10.5-R and it is working perfectly.

As for tires, I chose Toyo T1-S. They are great tires, very quiet and smooth. My car rides very close to stock.

Keep your stock wheels because 20" wheels do take some time to get used to.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

first of all...going with 20x10.5....will i have to roll the funders. I would like to stay away from that so i agree with you...no 20x11

I do like the brabus monoVI and the lorinser ld5's

I am looking to have a nice deep lip so anything else you can recommend in that style..and can you send or post a pic of yours..

Nope, 20x10.5 will not require you to roll your fenders. My wheels have a 2.5" lip in the front and 4" in the rear as you can see from the below pic. It doesn't get any bigger than this...

i had......

two e46's

'02 Silver based out model

then upgraded i thought...

then a 'late 02 Cab in Carbon Blk fully loaded.

Got sick of the cab quick with the shakes and rattles to be honest... it was a great car though, but this was a huge jump up all around.
