I am planning to replace my brake pads (28K miles) with
the pads that generate minimal dust. The front wheels look
pretty awful with the ugly brake dust.
I have been informed that I should resurface the rotors to
ensure uniform wear and maintail brake performance.
Is this true and why?
Also, if anyone has done what I have done, can you
recommend any manufacturers of these type of brake pads
other than EBC and Porterfields.
Thanks for the input.

We do not offer Mintex brake pads but, they meet your needs extremely well .... and IO would recommend against the EBC products for your car

Be very careful of anyone turning your brake rotors. Pay close attention to the minimum thickness specifications. MB rotors are typically not turned, but replaced when they get close to or below the min. thickness spec.
If someone tries to turn them and they go below min. specs they are creating a potentially unsafe brake problem. If there is plenty of material left on the rotors when replacing pads it is usually best to just clean or sand the rotor surfaces and then install the new pads.

Thanks Elderracer for the recommendations. It is great to be able to receive

Cheers and thanks again.

Did you replace your brake pads with OEM or
anti-brake dust pads? I still have pads left so I'm waiting
to wear them out first....just can't see myself replacing
something when it's not yet time...should be soon though.

I just used the oem parts.

Will these pads fit a 2003 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan? The dealer is telling me that I need to buy sensors as well? Is this true?
Thanks,
