the brabus reps (eg Moven, etc.) look really good, but FWIW, I've heard you CAN easily tell the difference side by side.... some say you can't; I've had two sets of the REAL ones and can tell you they looked awsome...

They cost so much because you are not only buying the design, but also the branding, quality and peace of mind. I am a pro-authentic wheels guy. I would never put a set of replicas on a Mercedes. If you cant afford the real stuff, leave your car as is, there is absolutely nothing wrong going all stock.

If you have a huge sedan or SUV and don't mind adding another 130 lbs in wheel weight, sure. Otherwise, no way. I had a set of 18" Monoblock V multipiece on my CLK. They looked great but, were noticeably heavy. 18" rims weighing 33lbs is a joke. A bigger problem was that no matter what anyone tried, they were creating bad vibration. As soon as I replaced them with 19" BBS LMs, my car was much happier. Some Brabus rims look great, but they need to go on a serious diet. Furthermore, with what they cost, their are plenty of other options.

yes I have to agree.
I was looking at the brabus too as they look very nice and classy but I went with the HRE's. Very happy with them except for the fact that my dealer messed them up. Anyways lightweight wheels make such a difference in handling it is remarkable. Also the look of HRE's is like no other and that includes brabus

well i think that is the main reason why most people buy expensive wheels...im sure reliability has to do a factor...but just like what Harris said...replicas or the real thing...

I have 19" Movens and they are very similar to the Brabus. I know because I saw them side by side. Their fit and finish are so exact that you cant tell the difference. Like Brabus, they are a beautiful wheel. I get comments all the time about how great they look. The only drawback is they are a pain to clean because of the intricacies of the wheel. But that is a fundamental problem only because the wheels are so nice. Anyways, you wont regret buying them. I still love them from the day I first put them on. Try going to www.coolwheels.com or www.eurorev.com if ur interested in getting a deal. Hope this helps!

I have to echo the sentiments of Sleestack and others, Brabus wheels are beautifully crafted and finished, but the inflated price is hard to swallow for a cast wheel that is only availible in limited widths/offsets. Many Brabus wheels are very heavy (33lbs for a 18's is pushing the limits of sanity), which really does slow the responses of a car.
I really love the look of Brabus wheels, but I cannot pay that much for cast, heavy wheels.
For those that have Brabus wheels, please take no offense they are beautiful!
