depends on the weather
please stay tuned until the end of the month .... there will be a full post on winter tires and wheels for most models (yours included)
the reason I would rather that you wait is so I can test out the new offerings

Thanks Luke!
We've bought many modern winter tires. However, our last choice was disappointing.
Based on an incredible set of Pirelli snow tires that we mounted on our ML430 when it was new, we bought Pirelli Winter 210's for our Miata. They sure didn't perform very well!
Currently we run Blizzaks WS50 on our CR-V, and we ran an older set of MZ01's (Blizzack too) on our TT.
Look forward to your recommendation.

I have a message from Tire Rack with a link allowing me to see your offering in winter tires...but I would appreciate your input Luke.
Here's my experience on winter tires...
1. Blizzaks seem to protect us best on all slippery conditions...ice and snow. I'm not worried about getting stuck; I can handle that. I'm worried about the great skating rink just outside my door (ontario's 401). Which Blizzak?
2. Pirelli Winter 210's disappointed me on our last car; how do they perform on an sl500?
3. Pirelli's on our ML430 worked extremely well.
4. Michelin Arctic Alpins seemed biased towards handling; less a traction tire. Is the Pilot Alpin biased even more towards handling?
Are there other tires we should consider?
