Question for tirerack expert Luke

I am selling my 17 * 8", ET30 Brabus wheels to my friend with an Audi A4 (B5 model) will they fit? I also have spacers just in case. Also, I've been using 215/45/17s on these wheels, 225/45/17s should fit them no problem, right?

depends on the weather

17x8 ET30 on a B5 will stick out of the fenders and rub when the suspension is compressed if you use the correct 225/45-17 tire size

thanks, but i'm still not too clear...what do you mean by the "correct" size? correct for that wheel size or correct for the car? will spacers help?

what is the stock wheel offset for a 17" b5 A4 wheel? My s4 has 225/45/17s, but I think the offset is higher and and the width is 7.5 AFAIK??

are you saying the brabus' won't work for him?!

the OE S4 wheel is 17x7.5 ET45

17x8 ET30 will fit just fine.
BBS CH is 18x8.5 ET35, which will stick out 1.3mm more than the Brabus wheels will on the A4.
BBS RXII is 18x8.5 ET32, and these will very slightly rub on an A4 when lowered.
On the backspacing, stock S4 wheel is 17x7.5 ET45, with a 140.25mm backspacing. The 17x8 ET30 Brabus wheel will be 9mm FURTHER away from the suspension arm.

I see no problems with the fitment even when lowered.
Use a 225/45/17 tire.
