Do these flat tire spray pumps really work?
I want to use my spare tire compartment (SLK55) for a subwoofer. I know it sounds crazy but blame MB for not putting a dedicated sub enclosure in their expensive HK sound system! Woofers on the doors just don't cut it! Anyway, I want to make sure I am covered if I have a flat tire. Do these pumps really work? Is there a run-flat tire to fit my SLK55? Oh by the way, if I have a flat tire, where am I supposed to put the punctured tire? I am sure it won't fit in the spare tire compartment and it will not fit in the trunk. On the roof may be!

I've used them, my kids have used them. They work. They are a required part of every car I own or have owned. But they are a TEMPORARY fix until you can get to a good tire shop for a repair.

I don't have any experience with the cans of fix-a-flat, but I have heard that they are not good on aluminum rims. I have heard the chemicals in the stuff is acidic. Anyone else heard this?

I agree with using the 'fix a flat' type product.
However, it works only if the wound on your tire is minimal.
If you gouged it, then you'll have a problem.
Anyway, it is still a good product to keep in the trunk.
A must for ALL female drivers...can you imagine, your wife or girlfriend
trying to change a flat at night, in the rain, on a lonely road/highway and
wearing something sexy :v .....very unsafe.
No one should be without one
