FS: RennTech / OZ 3 piece wheels New and "Rare"

For Sale is a set of 4 Renntech / OZ 3-piece wheels. These wheels are NOS, meaning they are "New" and never used. If you are looking for a beautiful set of wheels for 90's era Mercedes it doesn't get any better than this.
Here is some info:
Never used
In original OZ boxes
Made in Italy
All center caps with screws and tool
Wheels MFG date 1996
3 piece
Polished lips w/clear from factory
5 X 112 bolt pattern
2 - Fronts are 18 X 8 with ET35
2 - Rears are 19 X 11 with ET "0"
More photos available
These were over $4000 in 1997
$2000 plus shipping. Shipping should be around $150 lower 48 USA

I believe they were purchased for a R129. Should fit others.
Feel free to PM if interested.

Thanks for looking, Mike

Here are a few additional photos. These show the different finishes between the centers and the lips.

I don't think so, most likely a Mercedes r129, w126 widebody, or possible w124 E500.

I mounted a rear wheel on 92 r129 500SL. Inside fitment looks great. Outside edge of the wheel sticks out a little as seen in attached photos. I lowered the jack to approximate height as if a tire was installed. Maybe a few inches higher. I didn't want weight of the car on the rim itself. As the previous owner told me, these were purchased for R129. I'm not concerned with the front, the current MB wheels have ET35, same as the front OZ RennTech's.

I really want to pull the trigger on buying these wheels for my 1990 500SL. Unfortunately, I know I would either need to pay a body shop a substantial amount of money to enlarge the rear fenders, since they probably would need more than just rolling.

Alternatively, I could try to source smaller lips for the rear wheels, but then I need to find a store that has the parts, and pay to have brand new wheels taken apart and sealed back together.

It's almost as if these wheels were special ordered for some kind of R129 wide body. Maybe a Koenig wide body version of the R129?

GLWS, I would have already hit the "Buy It Now" button on your eBay listing if I knew all I had to do was get tires fitted and install them.

I can put you in touch with my guy in Miami who does custom wheel builds. I sent him my HRE's and he completely transformed them. Built them to a 21" step lip changed the offset brushed and cleared as well as polished the lips and he's very reasonable. He also sourced all the hardware and the inner and outer barrels that were required.

Message me or email me and I'll set you up with him, he'll answer all your questions to see if it is even worth doing.

Also I'm a shipping contractor for FedEx and would gladly give you my rate cuts to make it much more affordable.

My email is madyspop@yahoo.com

My shipping rates are about 40% off of published pricing...

Thanks for the reply, I looked into it and one could change the outside lips from the current 4" to 2" and they would fit a normal 129. The cost of the lips are about $300 each. Then one could sell the old unused lips on ebay to recoup most of the money spent on the new ones. This may take some time to sell but it is a solution. I have the correct OZ sockets to take the wheels apart which I would throw in with the wheels. Pretty simple job, remove the fasteners, cut the bead between the lip and barrel, install new lip and put a new bead around the center gap.

$300 for an 18" lip is way to much, I bought 21" rolled and stepped lips for about $150 each. It's all about who you know!!
