I've driven Lime Rock and been around the track with the Skip Barber folks as well. It's a sweet, curvy course. Last year they added an addition bend on the backside of the track.
The challenge is to see if you can break 120 mph on the front straight.

Just got back from amg academy. Awesome time. Cars are incredible.
They had a 2010 E63 and itis alot better than the 04 thru 09 amg e class. I couldnt believe how different it felt. totally different car.

Just got back from a very wet track day. Overall very well run, we were treated like VIPs from beginning to end, people were extremely friendly. Got to drive 4 cars: C63, SLK 63, SL 63, and the new E 63. Thought the C63 had the best balance in power and handling, E63 is surprisingly good, but you certainly feel its weight. Didn't care much for the SL...kinda softly sprung and small (with a helmet), and the SLK 63 is VERY snappy requiring a lot of skills to drive fast. Of course, the track monster easily belongs to the CLK BS, simply effortless as a lead instructor car. Probably only used half its potential all day.
Thought the instructors were very nice, but felt that they were treating us like VIP clients instead of students...could've used more detailed teaching/advice. Standing outside watching us practice rather than sitting next to us didn't help.
So a lot of fun, over-the-top service (gift bags, helmet loaners, awesome tech support), but still a bit lacking in down-to-earth driving advice, especially for a newbie like me who desperately need some.

By the way we got a chance to drive the black series
it wasnt faster in a strait line but the grip on that car and the brakes are beyond comparison to any other amg model. Car is amazing on a race track.
Last thing. The SLK is a 55 not a 63. huge difference. Almost 150hp difference.

And no pics from me...it was raining pretty much the whole day, and I was too busy getting tossed up like a potato in the passenger seat half the time

2007 M.B. CLK63 AMG, 08 Honda Accord EXL V6, 04 Honda Accord EXL V6, 03 Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition
Everyone.
Anyway, I just bought a 2007 CLK63 AMG, and I havent even gotten it yet, but would love to attend. I'n in Mass, so I'd hit it up at Limerock. Please shoot me some price info, and a number I can call to get in on this. I'd love to meet some of my fellow New England AMG owners. This is WAY COOL!!!
Thanks to all,
Derek.
