Arrow FS Feeler - 2005 C55 AMG - Under 46k Miles

We are having another child, so my C55 AMG might have to go...

The basics:

2005 C55 AMG
Under 46k miles
Pewter Grey/Cubanite Silver on black leather interior
Xenon headlights
Glass moonroof
Premium sound
Factory navigation (with 2014 maps disc)
Factory iPod hookup
Continental DW tires with less than 2,000 miles of use
Tinted windows

Never seen snow/salt
No modifications at all
No accidents or paintwork
No stories

Not sure on what the asking price should be - offers and opinions welcome while I do my research

Thanks!

Very nice car sir. Looks very clean! I would venture out and say you are looking to get around 15-18k for it ... Maybe?

Nice car.

Where are you located?

PM sent.

Opinion: You're probably better off trying to sell the car to someone who can appreciate it rather than just trading it in for your next car. You'll probably get around a couple thousand dollars more than trade in (I'd say $2K to $3K). If you live in a remote area, it may take a while to sell the car as a private party, but if you live in a big town, it should sell within a 2-3 weeks if priced correctly and marketed correctly. I'd definitely give it a shot to try selling yourself. Good luck!

Yes, I received it. No, I'm not interested in offers in the low teens. Don't have an asking price yet, but it won't be in the low teens. Thanks for the unsolicited opinion.

Not sure what I'm looking for yet, as mentioned, but here are a couple C55's on Autotrader today for comparison:

- '06 with 31k miles - $23,996 (Dealer)
- '05 with 57k miles - $17,987
- '05 with 73k miles - $15,000
- '06 with 78k miles - $17,500 (Mint, one owner, for sale by owner)

Open to discussion with any Mercedes enthusiasts with genuine interest. I have no interest in what amount you can buy other cars for, thanks.

Do you have a documented service history for the C55?
(i.e. binder full of all receipts or scanned PDF files of the receipts?)

For what it's worth I just bought a months or so ago an 06 with 57k miles in Houston for $16.3 with clean carfax. Did not get a binder full of service records though.

Sounds like a good deal. OP's car is probably one of the last C55s with that low of mileage. It might help him get the upper price range on his car if there are good maintenance records, and, of course, a buyer who cares for that.

Even though I do the maintenance work on my car myself, I still save the receipts for the parts I ordered to give the next owner an idea of what has gone into the car, when I decide to sell the car.

none... for now
Ya know, I typed a long logical response about realistic pricing, how the cars you posted have sat for weeks if not months, the C55's place in the used marketplace, and how I hope you're also ready to sit on your car as you SHOULD care about other cars' pricing because your potential buyer does... but apparently that didn't go through. So instead, I'll just leave this here

Very Interesting. I may sell mine at the end of summer and was interested in the going rate. FYI - there is one with lower miles. Mine is a 2005 with under 30,000.
