C43 '55' swap thread

Is this correct that these c43 parts fits the e55 engine, they all share the same partsnumber?
water pump
belt tensioner Litens
belt idler pulley INA
thermostat Wahler
oil cooler gasket kit
valve cover gaskets
MAF Bosch
ignition coils Bosch
wires for sparkplugs Bosch
sparkplugs NGK PFR5R-11 Laser Platinum = these plugs fits both engines?
belt Contitech 6PK2390
engine chain IWIS
Is it true the only part that is not the same between both engines is the harmonic balancer because the e55 engine has a larger displacent than c43 engine?
harmonic balancer made by Corteco

Finally dropped off my car on friday. Im more excited by the day plus we picked up my friends 97 c36 that just got converted to a six speed manual. Riding back in it got me really inpatient

don't fogget to drive your car with stock ECU for some months to see how your car copes with the new engine, I wanna know about = gasmileage/HP/torque/vehicle speed after your modification is done
i'm curious about this info about 5.4L engine and stock ECU performance

If there is difference in power its not gonna be huge. Its not worth it if my car will run super rich or stuff like that

how much is it to reflash?

Pitaj tvoj ortak if my Swiss ecu (goes like clockwork) and the US ecu has the same specs then it will be no prob for re-flashing?

Pjmak,
Where abouts did your header crack?,under what conditions did you notice the ticking?.
Tripple check that rear crank seal housing, wis spec's replacing it with the seal, the magniusium becomes porous around the sealant path which could leak on reseal.
Sounds like the porsche racing mb guru has your project under control
cheers,

Oh yea he does lol
The header cracked right by where it connects to the block and then it expanded I guess. You could stick your finger in there almost. It was drivers side all the way in the back btw. It was cracked in a way that couldnt be welded so i had to get another one. I picked up a good condition one for $60 so wer good to go.
I started noticing ticking noise right before my last oil change. I changed the oil but it didnt quiet it down at all. Since then it only got worse. I had multiple people tell me its lifters but then a few suggested its the exhaust. I do scrape with my exhaust when i go over bumps. Its painful but i have to deal with it lol. Im guessing that initiated the crack which probably expanded from heat eventually.
Inside the header is a metal pipe that was loose which was making a clicking sound that one could easily mistake for a lifter noise.
But anyway all this was a reason to swap the motor and i didnt care wether it was the lifter or the exhaust. It turns out the motor is still in good shape after my friend took it apart. Sadly its not worth much. I think itll end up as a coffee table in his house.
Also all seals are getting replaced plus the unexpecred $300 tranny reseal and flush :/
Edit: the ticking noise was only there under acceleration btw
