electric cutouts going on this week! stoked
the other day i went and had my resonator removed and i had the shop leave the pipe open and not insatll the y pipe to the muffler for the day... so basically no piping from second cat back... man did this beast roar.. sounded like some serious muscle but it was definetly a problem... trying to just ride around was allmost unbearable... but it gave me the idea of installing a electric cutout so id have the best of both worlds... has anyone done it yet on the forums and if not would you guys be interestd in a sound clip when im done? i cant wait to see peeoples face when im siting at a light all quite and classy and then flip a switch on'm
ps: got tired of the black roof so i took it off but im posting a few picks of my tailights and corners since my corners looked allmost yellowish smoked and i hated it... there all matt black now and really tie everything on the car together.. clarity is still perfect too. and new pedals chyeah

because it sounds good? lol beleive me bro when you here this sound clip its completely worth a few hundred bucks... and its not for performance really, if anything it might free up some horses in the top end rpms when opened up but mostly for the fun factor..... with our bigger cams it rumbles..

Can you snap a few pictures as well of the install, under the car?
I've been debating installing this but my mechanic was a bit hesitant in regards to where installing it on the exhaust line because of the fumes...
Also, why don't you just remove the secondary cats and be done with it? It sounds already pretty mean without the resonator and secondaries.
Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to your videos!

I already heard mine open when I did my exhaust set up, it really rumbles and its scary. Sounded like a nascar. I was tempted to just leave it but by doing this, I won't pass smog check. A bypass was really my only option if I wanted that sound.

the C36 is night and day with piping removed form cats back (no muffler and no resi)
I could not believe the difference! It sounds so throaty under 3500ish rpm, but after that it is pure amazement!
I was planning on doing cutouts, but things got in the way. if any C36 guys want me to take everything off and record a video I will. (might do it anyway just for fun)
anyway, I am pro cutout, so I say definitely go for it
