New car cruise controls?

modern Mercedes cars or other brand cars fitted with factory cruise controls, how are these operating?
do they operate with laser or radar sensors?
would these laser/radar operated cruise controls trigger false LASER alarms on V1?

Newer cars fitted with LED taillights?
Would these LED taillights trigger false LASER alarms on V1?

No idea, but sensors yes and I doubt that lasers are used.

radar activated cruise controls have been available on S classes for a few years now, I think even on E, SL, CL's now too.

hey bro
you think this could trigger V1 to give false alarms on laser from an oncoming S-class in CC-mode?

I would hope that the folks at Valentine would have thought of that! have you looked online with their findings or with other v1 owners?

this covers laser-guided cruise control: http://www.valentine1.com/Lab/AnsweredAlready7.asp

this fellow says his adaptive cruise control did not affect his v1:

that's good info sulaco, thanks for the links.
i suspected that newer cars have special brake lights which might trigger V1 with false alarms and other makes have radar or laser operated CC's.
confusion resolved.

much oblige bro.
